Going Loco on Safety – The sacking of a disinterested team leader
04.02.2010BHPB sacked a team leader and his supervisor for failing to enforce safety procedures and failing to own responsibility.
BHPB prohibited anyone walking across a gap between a platform and locomotives. It provided portable platforms and most locatives were fitted with drop down platforms.
